Here you will find a selection of my favourite Cardiff based pregnancy and postnatal businesses. I have hand picked these businesses based on my own knowledge and experience of them. These experts in their field are equipped to provide the specialist support you need during pregnancy and beyond, from antenatal classes to women's health physio.
Nurture Antenatal Classes
Where: Rhiwbina Village
When: Evening & afternoon classes available.
What they do: Midwife led antenatal classes made up of 3 small face to face group sessions, a group social and a postnatal group catch up.
Why I recommend them: Unfortunately Nurture Antenatal didn't exist when I was pregnant but one of the registered midwives who runs it, Charlotte, was my midwife for both pregnancies. I have received glowing reviews from clients who attended these classes. They found the course content useful and formed wonderful friendships.
Booking: These classes should be completed before 37 weeks and fill up fast so early booking is advised.
The Glow Method
Where: Various Cardiff locations & online
Services offered: Pregnancy exercise; postnatal core restore & C section recovery; C section scar massage; pelvic health focused personal training
Why I recommend them: It is so important to seek advice from someone with expert knowledge of women's health issues when exercising during pregnancy or returning to exercise postnatally. I used the online 'Glow Method At Home' course after both babies to return to fitness safely,
Imogen Williams Physio
Where: PhysioSpace, Pontcana
Services offered: Imogen is a pelvic health physiotherapist and treats conditions related to pelvic floor dysfunction as well as pelvic girdle pain and diastasis recti/abdominal muscle separation.
Why I recommend them: Women should not have to 'put up with it' when it comes to debilitating ailments like pelvic girdle pain. Experts like Imogen can significantly improve and in some cases completely solve pelvic issues.
Aqua-bumps
Where: Various Cardiff Leisure Centres
What they do: Midwife-led aquanatal classes for all stages of pregnancy and post-birth. Aquanatal classes offer a safe way to keep active during pregnancy through gentle pool-based exercise.
Why I recommend them: Aquanatal classes were my favourite part of the week during pregnancy. In the latter stages of pregnancy you will feel so much relief from the weight of your bump in the water!
Yumi Yoga
Where: Various Cardiff locations
What they do: Pregnancy yoga, Mum & baby yoga, hypnobirthing & baby massage classes.
Why I recommend them: I addended Claire's yoga classes during both of my pregnancies as have many of my friends and clients. Her classes are friendly, accessible and encourage a sense of comfort, relaxation and confidence all the way through to, and including the birth of your baby.
Cardiff Pregnancy Massage
Where: Rhiwbina & home visits
What I do: Pregnancy and postnatal specific massage treatments to relieve the symptoms caused by muscle dysfunction including pelvic girdle pain and sciatica.
Why I recommend: This is of course a shameless plug, but having focused solely on pregnant and postnatal clients for the past 4 years I couldn't leave myself off the list!

Mission Fitness (Buggyfit)
Where: Indoor classes in Heath, Buggyfit at Roath park
What they do: Buggyfit; Indoor Mum and Baby Classes; Core Restore – 4 Week Course
Why I recommend: I am passionate about the benefits of exercise for your mental and physical wellbeing. I regularly attended Buggyfit classes after the birth of my children and found them both challenging and enjoyable. Also a great way to make mum friends!
